HOUSTON – An escaped inmate is back in custody after a string of crimes lead deputies to his location, officials said.
The inmate is identified as 29-year-old Khaled Azzeh from Houston. He was at a hospital, but in custody of Fort Bend County deputies.

Montgomery County Pct. 4 Sgt. Jim Slack said the investigation of a burglary that took place at EMC Towing in New Caney on Tuesday, January 10 lead deputies to his location.
Azzeh attempted to claim a car from the business, but the owner denied him access after failing to produce confirmation of ownership.
Later that day the owner noticed a safe containing $1,000 was missing and notified the Pct. 4 Constable's Office, Sgt. Slack said.
Deputies said Azzeh was driving a stolen blue 2008 Mazda CX-9 that was located that same night at a Best Buy Parking Lot in Humble.
Pct. 4 deputies along with Humble PD and the US Marshal's Service were able to take Azzeh into custody and later transported him back to the Fort Bend County Jail.
Slack said Azzeh faces felony burglary charges in Montgomery County, as well as charges in Harris County and Fort Bend County. Azzeh may also be tied to additional residential and vehicle burglaries.
