Texas EquuSearch crews are looking for a missing Houston teen who was last seen on Valentine's Day.

Antonio Saldivar, 17, has been missing since early Saturday morning.  His mom last saw him on Friday, Valentine's Day, as he drove her car to see his girlfriend.

"I can't sleep or eat," said Antonio's mother, Connie Netro. "And everyone's making me but I can't. I need him to come home today. I think he doesn't know who he is."

Her wrecked car was abandoned at an overpass at Harrisburg and Navigation. She said the car was significantly damaged when it hit a concrete pillar.

"It wasn't even a car anymore. It was all wrecked in. So I tell my husband no. Something happened to him," said Netro.

She believed the impact left Saldivar disoriented and wandering the streets near the Houston Ship Channel. She said his shoes were left in the car.

Texas EquuSearch joined the search on Tuesday.

Antonio's sister, Jessica Perales, said, "It hurts me. It does. I've gotta be strong. Not only for myself, but for my mom. She lost my brother. And I don't want her to feel like I can't do anything. I'm going to be strong for both of us."

Friends said Saldivar is a student at Houston Can Academy.

His family said he was last seen wearing a purple, leopard print hoodie, with a black muscle shirt underneath. His mom said he was also wearing tan shorts. His family said he has a tattoo on his left arm of a clown-faced girl removing her shirt and a tattoo outline of Texas with "HOUSTON" in the middle.

Texas EquuSearch volunteers say a witness came forward who says he saw a dark colored SUV hit Antonio's car and force his car into a concrete pole the night he disappeared.  Texas EquuSearch said the witness is willing to talk to Houston Police and to give a statement regarding what they saw.

EquuSearch plans to have a full volunteer force out searching east Houston on Wednesday.

If you have seen Saldivar, you are urged to call the Houston Police at 713-731-5223 or Texas EquuSearch at 281-309-9500.
