Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport is reporting flight delays Thursday morning.
Just before 8 a.m. Flight Aware, a flight tracking website, reported that an equipment failure was causing all inbound flights to IAH to be "held at their origin" until 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
The FAA had reported that only inbound United Airlines flights were affected.
Shortly before 8:45 a.m., a United spokesperson told Local 2 it "put in place a temporary ground stop for flights inbound to Houston due to icing conditions to prevent congestion on the tarmac."
United said the ground stop was lifted at 8:30.
As for the equipment failure at Bush Airport, United spokesman Rahsaan Johnson said the reports that United was having an equipment failure are "false."
According to Flight Aware's website, IAH is experiencing flight delays on average of 26 minutes.
