HOUSTON - Operation Santa is in full swing at United States posts offices, celebrating its 100-year anniversary.
Since 1912, the national holiday initiative has assembled volunteer elves to sift through letters written to Santa and find donors to help fulfill their wishes.
In Houston, Santa's helpers have gone through each letter before sending it off to Saint Nick.
Some letters asked for bikes and puppies and others wanted to know if their name was on the naughty or nice list
The post office located off the Sam Houston Parkway said it expects to get more than 75,000 letters this year.
