Schlumberger employees return to Rosharon facility after evacuation

BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas – Schlumberger confirms employees are back inside the Rosharon facility after it was evacuated because of a bomb threat Thursday afternoon.

According to BCSO, deputies and the Joint Terrorism Task Force were on scene at the Schlumberger Rosharon Technology Center at 14910 Airline Road.

A statement from Schlumberger read, in part:, "We confirm that on Thursday, January 29, our technology center in Rosharon, Texas, received a package containing a bomb threat. All employees have been safely evacuated and local police and bomb squad personnel are onsite investigating."

We're told a worker discovered a wooden crate containing a metal piece of equipment meant for an oil rig. The crate reportedly had some suspicious writing on it and the building was evacuated as a precaution.

Investigators did not reveal what the writing was. They are now trying to figure out who sent the crate and who wrote the message.
