Man charged with murder after teen girl shot to death in South Park

HOUSTON – A teen girl was shot to death Friday, according to friends of the victim.

The 18-year-old girl was shot around 1:30 p.m. in the 5800 block of Southtown Street, in the South Park neighborhood of southeast Houston.

Houston police said the girl, identified as Tayla Auzenne, was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Court records show that Fredrick Turner has been charged with murder. He is being held on a $75,000 bond. 

According to witnesses, police said, Turner and the victim got into an altercation when it escalated and Turner shot her.
