HOUSTON -

A suspected drug dealer is facing some new charges after a police chase early Wednesday morning.

Investigators said around midnight Wednesday, police were staking out the suspect's home. When the suspect got into his car to leave, police said an officer tried to pull him over, but he took off.

During the chase, investigators said the suspect tossed some cocaine from his window.

Investigators said police were eventually able to box the suspect in at a convenience store parking lot on Cleburne. Police said they found more drugs inside his car.

The driver was arrested and now faces felony evading arrest charges, along with possession of narcotics.
