HOUSTON -

The driver who sped toward a crowd at a fatal shooting scene Wednesday afternoon in southeast Houston is facing charges.

It happened while police were investigating a deadly shooting at the Belarbor apartments. Louis Anthony III is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say the 38-year-old is the driver who barreled through the crowd after the shooting. His son, Louis Anthony IV, 18, is a person of interest in the shooting, according to Houston police. The son has not been charged.

Demarcus Harrison, 20, was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene. A second male victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is expected to survive.

Anthony III is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
