The pedestrian who was injured in a hit-and-run accident in South Central Houston earlier this month has died, police said.
Houston police said the accident occurred around 9:40 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the 3600 block of Burkett.
Officials said the 40-year-old man was walking in the roadway near Berry Road when he was hit by a silver Nissan Rogue.
The driver did not stop and help the victim, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition where he died on Feb. 22.
