HOUSTON -

Emergency crews were forced to pry a driver out of his SUV after a major rollover crash in northwest Houston.

According to reports, the driver was pulling out of a Walmart parking lot on Tidwell Road around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when a car slammed into the side of the SUV.

The force of the impact flipped the SUV over, pinning its driver inside, police said.

Firefighters extricated the driver and transported him to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said the two people in the other car were both treated on the scene for minor injuries.

Investigators confirmed alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
