DPS: The driver was reckless during the chase

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man on a motorcycle was shot after state troopers said he led them on a chase through two counties Sunday morning.

The chase started as a traffic stop for a suspended license on Highway 99 and FM 1405 in Chambers County.

After 20 minutes the chase ended on S. Post Oak and Brookston in Harris County.

The chase hit speeds of about 100 miles an hour and troopers claim the driver was reckless.

One trooper said he was trying to stop the dangerous chase and shot the driver, hitting him in the leg.

The driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
