PASADENA - Two people were killed late Monday night after a driver ran a red light.

Pasadena police said a man was driving a pickup truck around 11 p.m., heading south on Allen Genoa Road. The driver failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Fairmont Parkway and crashed into the side of another car.

A man riding in the car was killed at the crash site. The driver was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the pickup was also taken to the hospital.

Pasadena investigators believe the man who ran the red light was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
