HOUSTON -

A driver plows his car straight through the front doors of a Little Caesars in northwest Houston.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Antoine Drive and West Little York Road.

According to Houston police, the driver was asleep in his SUV with the engine running.

Someone spotted the man and knocked on the window to wake him.

Police say the knock startled the driver and he immediately slammed on the gas, causing his car to plow right into the restaurant.

The SUV stopped against the front counter and soda machine.

The vehicle caught fire but did not catch the restaurant on fire.

The Little Caesars was closed at the time of the accident.

The driver of the SUV was not hurt.

Police say he was found to be intoxicated at the scene and was arrested.
