Driver hurt after hitting METRO bus

The driver had to be rescued by firefighters

HOUSTON - A driver is in the hospital after a crash involving a METRO bus.

The man was driving his pick-up truck northbound on the Highway 59 feeder at Fountain View and slammed into the back of the stopped bus Saturday night.

Police say the driver told them his accelerator was stuck when he hit the bus.

The man had to be rescued from his truck and taken to the hospital.

A couple of the bus passengers were hurt, but will be okay.
