According to investigators, the driver was speeding through a sharp curve when he went off the road and slammed into a tree.

The vehicle then skidded sideways, flipped over and caught fire.

A passerby saw the accident and rushed over to help, police said.  He kicked out the glass in the back of the vehicle and tried to pull the driver out.

However, investigators said the fire was too intense and the passerby could not get to the driver, who died at the scene.

The identity of the driver was not immediately released.
