Driver dies in 2-vehicle collision

HOUSTON – A driver was killed in a collision at a northwest Houston intersection on Monday.

Houston police said a pickup truck traveling westbound on West Tidwell hit a Chevrolet Impala that was traveling southbound on Duoto.

The driver of the Impala was killed upon impact, investigators said. That person's name has not been released.

Police said an 11-year-old was also inside the Impala and was not injured.

Detectives said they were questioning the driver of the pickup truck.
