HOUSTON – A driver was critically injured in a crash near a mall early Monday.
Houston police said a driver lost control in front of Baybrook Mall on West Bay Area Boulevard shortly after midnight.

The driver crashed in the westbound lanes, officials said.
The driver was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and may not survive, investigators said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
