Driver crashes, dies in south Houston

HOUSTON – Authorities is investigating after a man crashed his car and died in south Houston.

The victim was heading eastbound in a green Ford Ranger around 5:15 p.m. near 3300 South MacGregor Way when he lost control and crashed his car into a concrete pillar, according to the Houston Police Department.

The department is waiting for autopsy results to verify the man's identity, but officers said he is 37 years old.

Paramedics to the man to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
