Two people ended up in the hospital after a driver argued with and then chased his girlfriend in another car.
Police said the couple started fighting while driving down Goodson Drive near Airline Road around midnight Sunday.
At some point, the woman got out of the car and started walking along the side of the road, investigators said. A stranger driving a Camaro saw the woman, pulled over, and picked her up.
Police said the boyfriend saw his girlfriend get into the car and, in anger, sped up and hit the Camaro.
The other driver tried to speed up to get away from the boyfriend but failed to make a curve in the road and slammed into a tree.
The boyfriend chasing after them couldn't stop in time, investigators said, and crashed into the back of the Camaro.
Then police said the boyfriend got out of his car, walked over to the other driver, and started punching him before running away.
The Camaro's driver was taken to the hospital with two broken legs and other injuries.
The woman was also transported in stable condition.
Police said if they find the boyfriend, he will be charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.
