HOUSTON - A driver surrendered after leading police on a high-speed chase through southwest Houston Friday morning.
Officers initially spotted the driver speeding down the Southwest Freeway around 2:30 a.m., at times going over 100 miles per hour.
Police said the driver finally stopped near Gessner Road, but refused to get out of the stolen SUV.
After several tense minutes, the suspect surrendered and was arrested without incident.
Police said the driver faces felony evading charges.
His name was not immediately released.
