'Dog Whisperer' Cesar Milan visits local high school

HOUSTON – The Dog Whisperer gave some local students valuable life lessons on Wednesday.

Cesar Milan, with dog in tow, was the keynote speaker at a fundraising luncheon at the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.

"We wanted to find someone who I thought would model what the whole school is about ...own future here in Houston," said Rev. T.J. Martinez, president of Cristo Rey.

Millan has a rags to riches story, and used examples of life as a poor immigrant from Mexico turned TV superstar, and now American citizen, to further inspire the students.

"To be in places like this, where kids need information and hope.  I am you, and the only thing that can block me, is me," said Milan.
