Investigators said the dog was found with several layers of electrical tape wrapped around her nose and upper jaw, and the tape had been there for a long time. They said Justice had severe injuries as a result of the tape.

Deputies said they are looking for anyone who may have seen the dog and knows who may be responsible for injuring her.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-7867.

Justice is being cared for by a group called Saving Animals From Euthanasia in Willis, and has a long recovery ahead, deputies said.
