Mymensingh, Bangladesh – A video of a unique surgery involving a man with 19 toothbrushes inside his stomach is going around on the internet.
The video, which appears on LiveLeak, shows doctors in Bangladesh removing the toothbrushes from the man's stomach. The surgery happened in March 2016.
According to The Daily Star, an online publication in Bangladesh, Shamimum Rahman Akondo also had a broken part of a tablespoon, two broken shells of batteries and a piece of cloth inside of him.
Akondo's family said he was a drug addict and may have eaten the toothbrushes while he was at a drug rehabilitation center.
Doctors said Akondo may live a normal life as long as he does not eat any more inedible objects.
