HOUSTON -

A United Airlines flight headed to Bogota, Colombia turned back to Houston after about an hour into the flight, according to Houston police.

Flight 1009 left Bush Intercontinental Airport just before midnight on Wednesday.

Investigators said a seemingly drunk woman began to fight loudly with her husband and proceeded to grab him by the head and shake him.

The pilots thought the woman was too disruptive, so they turned back to Houston.

Houston police met the woman on the runway upon arrival, but they did not make an arrest.

United said all the other passengers on the flight had to stay in Houston an additional night in local hotels, paid for by the airline.

According to the Harris County District Attorney's Office, they could not press charges because the incident happened in international airspace, which is out of their jurisdiction.

TSA said they are not moving forward with an investigation.

The Bogota flight left Houston Thursday night.
