SUGAR LAND, Texas – A new attraction for craft beer lovers and cinema fanatics is coming to Sugar Land.
Flix Entertainment announced Monday it is waiting for plans to build a Flix Brewhouse in Sugar Land to be approved. The new movie theater doubles as a dine-in micro-brewery.
The new location will be the first Flix Brewhouse in Houston and the second in Texas. The Sugar Land Flix Brewhouse is proposed to built in the Promenade at Telfair near the intersection of Highway 6 and 90
Matt Silvers, senior vice president of real estate and brand development, said the company could get approval sometime around late winter or early spring of this year. If so, the project would open approximately 11 months after breaking ground, he said.
The theater will be 38,000 square feet and have eight screens with a total 950 to 1,000 seats, according to the company. The theater also has a bar for patrons who aren't seeing a movie.
