LUFKIN, Texas - A rookie sheriff's deputy got quite an introduction to the force when she had to deliver a baby.
Deputy Amanda Lee has been with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office since February.
Earlier this week, she was heading to direct traffic after a night full of storms. Once she arrived, she found an expectant mother who was on her way to the hospital. The only problem was a downed tree was blocking the road.
Lee jumped into action and delivered the baby in the backseat of the couple's car.
Lee said she doesn't consider herself a hero, but just a deputy doing her job.
