HOUSTON – Deputies are searching for man who was breaking into cars in a gun range parking lot in northeast Harris County.
The break-ins happened at a gun range on the Eastex Freeway near Mooney on Thursday afternoon.

Deputies said when they saw the man breaking into cars, they pulled out their weapons and fired shots him.
The man got away in a silver car. Investigators said they do not know if the man was shot.
