HOUSTON – A driver is recovering after he crashed his SUV into a toll plaza building in Northwest Harris County, deputies said.
According to deputies with Precinct 4, the driver was traveling eastbound on the feeder road of North Beltway 8 around 2 a.m. The man lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons, and crashed into a tree, deputies said.

His vehicle then bounced off the tree and smashed into the toll plaza building, according to investigators.
The driver was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Deputies are investigating whether alcohol was involved.
