Deputies: Brother beats sister to death at Magnolia home

HOUSTON – A teenager was beaten to death by her brother at a home near Magnolia, Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies said.

Deputies said Estephani Boijseauneau, 17, was killed at a home on Marshburn near Glenwood about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators said she suffered blunt force trauma to the head.

Detectives said a witness told them that the girl's 19-year-old brother, Jordan Abel Boijseauneau, beat her during an argument. The witness, Jordan Abel Boijseauneau's 15-year-old girlfriend, was tied up with duct tape by her boyfriend during the assault, deputies said. Once she managed to cut herself free, she went to a home about a quarter-mile away for help, investigators said.

"I went to the front door and there was the little girl," said Nicole Kelley. "I realized she had tape around her neck, so I cut that off and called 911."

Kelley said the 15-year-old told her that she had been held hostage for nearly three hours, and that her boyfriend had beaten his younger sister.

"She said he kept kicking her in the throat and beat her with a metal stick," Kelley said.

Kelley said she had never met the 15-year-old before, but she did know Jordan Abel Boijseauneau because he was friends with her son.

"Honestly, I'm shocked," Kelley said. "That's not Jordan."

Jordan Abel Boijseauneau was found hiding inside a closet, investigators said. Officials said he tried to commit suicide by taking pills and stabbing himself in the chest with a knife. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and was upgraded to stable condition on Wednesday. Investigators said he will be booked and charged with his sister's murder as soon as he is released from the hospital.

Friends of the victim and the suspect said they never knew them to argue or fight.

"I always seen them together," said Norma Veneros.  "Nothing bad, they didn't do anything.  I was really great friends with both of them, they were really great friends."

Veneros said Estephani Boijseauneau would have been a senior in high school and had aspirations to get a cosmetology license when she graduated.

"The last time I saw her, she cut my hair," Veneros said.

The high school senior also loved babies and thought about becoming an ultra-sound technician. 

"She was a real good person," said Veneros.  "Quiet, really friendly, she was great."

Neighbors were shocked by the violence.

"They are a quiet little family," neighbor Pat Marant said. "They're such good neighbors."

Marant said she can't imagine what the mother of the teens is feeling.

"My heart goes out to her," Marant said. "I just can't picture coming home to that ... to basically lose two children in one day."

Lt. Bill Bucks with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said that, at the time of the killing, the suspect was out on parole after being arrested in Harris County a few months ago.  Court documents indicate Boijseauneau was picked up by Tomball Police in May and accused of sexual abuse of a child between the ages of 14 and 17 and for failing to identify himself to police. Detectives said his victim was his 15-year-old girlfriend. Court documents suggest he spent about two weeks in jail before posting a $30,000 bond. 

"We have been made aware that there was a possible suicide attempt in the Harris County jail in the last couple of months," Bucks said.
