Deputies: 5-year-old boy drowns at community pool

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Deputies say a 5-year-old boy drowned Friday night at a community pool in Fort Bend County.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said Jaden Nwokedi was flown to the hospital around 7 p.m. Friday from the Greatwood Community Pool in Fort Bend County.

Rescuers told Local 2 that the child wasn't breathing when he was pulled from the pool.

Witnesses performed CPR and he was flown to the hospital.

After 9 p.m. Friday, Local 2 has learned that the child did not survive.
