Dentist charged with indecency with a child gets court date reset

HOUSTON – A local dentist accused of indecency with a child faced a judge for the first time on Monday.

Joshua Robbins, 37, is not allowed to have any contact with the victim, or any children.

He's facing charges of attempted indecency with a child.

According to investigators, Robbins allegedly drugged the daughter of a family friend in order to molest her in 2014.

Although the alleged incident occurred two years ago, attorneys say they needed time to charge him.

If convicted, Robbins could face 2-10 years in prison.

His case has been reset until mid September.
