HOUSTON -

A Marine Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. Monday for areas at the water's edge and just a bit onshore.

Local 2 Meteorologist Anthony Yanez says we have a 20 percent chance of rain during the day with temperatures climbing into the low 70s.

A Dense Fog Advisory was in effect until 10 a.m. Monday for areas south and east of Houston.

The thick fog hung in the air all along the South Loop and settled above cars on the roads, forcing drivers to turn on their windshield wipers.

Near Hobby Airport, the soupy mist collected close to the ground in the early morning hours causing several flight delays.

Visibility is low, and drivers are warned to drive slowly on their morning commute.

Tuesday's forecast will be a repeat of Monday.
