Daily Craig: The lull before the lull

It's almost over. The week with no football (and I don't count made up all star or pro bowls as football) is all but finished. We can look forward to the nonsense that leads to the final game of the 2015-16 SEASON IN THE NF-HELL.  We know for certain there will be the time honored traditions that lead to that game. The media regardless of whether THEY have ever seen an NFL game will be making their way to LEVI STADIUM. Some will wear LEVI'S.  Some will speak foreign languages. Some will have covered the PANTHERS AND BRONCOS for years. CBS will have every talent they can find on site. Some guy who played the postmaster on a long gone NCIS will be there. Jethro would be hard pressed to guess who that guy is.

I am happy to report I am not attending. I once lived in the Bay Area and worked the San Francisco scene but this not San Francisco, but rather an area to the south the 49ers were happy to accept after years at Candlestick and before that KEZAR STADIUM. The almost new stadium will be the jewel of year no. 50.  Free jeans aside, there will be goodies all around. THERE ARE 2 THINGS the media loves. FREE AND FREE LITE. The media package is worth picking up when you get your credentials. It will include a life size cut out of the THE COMMISSIONER FOR LIFE Goodell AND a guarantee that SUPER 51 AT NRG will have real live WI FI. Who among us wouldn't be proud of that.

MEDIA DAY is dreaded. (mostly by the media) Questions will be even more stupid than the sideline reporters usually come up with. Some obscure fellow who doesn't figure to play will be in the lime light because he doesn't figure to play. THE serious practices are already over. Now if we could only skip the hype. But we can't. I gotta see if Jim Nantz will promote the MASTERS BY HALFTIME.
