Cyclists take off in the Tour du Rouge

To help raise money for the Red Cross, a group of cyclists is heading to New Orleans in the Tour du Rouge.

The cyclists are biking 537 miles in six days to raise awareness and funds for those affected by severe weather.

They started riding Sunday morning and will make it to New Orleans on Friday.

The group of 57 riders will be biking around 90 miles per day for the cause. The route they are traveling chronicles storm-ravaged areas in Louisiana.

They will be stopping in Beaumont, Sulfur, Lafayette, Morgan City, Gonzales and New Orleans.
