Cyclists take mountain bike race through abandoned school

NTV – Cyclists in Japan have found an unusual use for an old school building.

They've converted the halls into a setting for a mountain bike race.

250 mountain biking enthusiasts took part in the first race through the school, which hasn't been used in five years.

Some racers dressed up as students, adding wigs for fun.

Racers have to navigate a 400-yard course twice.

The course takes them up and down stairs and through the building.

An organizer says he hopes more outdoor sports enthusiasts come to the area.
