2 men loose after Whataburger robbery, officials say

Two men robbed a Whataburger in northwest Houston and were tracked back to their apartment, police said.

The two men went into the Whataburger near FM 1960 and Cutten Road around 5 a.m. Sunday and held the employees at gunpoint while demanding money from the cash register, according to police.

The men took the money and left. However, there was a tracking device in the money, which led police to an apartment complex on Mills Road, according to officials.

Officers spotted the men outside the apartment, but the men got away, authorities said.

Officials said they are unsure how much money was stolen or what the two look like.
