HOUSTON -

A North Houston Kroger grocery store was hit at least three times in the past few weeks.

Just before 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, two men broke through the front door of the Kroger on Airline and Parker.

According to police, employees inside the store surprised the men and they took off.

An officer spotted the suspects leaving in their vehicle and gave chase.

The suspects eventually crashed on West Virginia and Nordling. Both men were then taken into custody.

Officials said the Kroger has been broken into at least two other times in the last few weeks. The most recent burglary was on November 21. During that incident, the suspects stole hundreds of cigarette cartons, in addition to other items.
