Man found shot to death in apartment parking lot in NW Houston

HOUSTON – A man and his wife made a gruesome discovery as they returned to their apartment overnight and found a young man's body on the ground.

Police say the victim, identified as Jorge Limones, had been fatally shot at the Garden Oaks apartments in the 5600 block of Antoine Drive.

"My wife noticed someone was laying on the ground, and I went to go check. And I saw a puddle of blood lying on the ground, so I got on the phone and called 911," said resident Jose Saavedra.

Police say Limones, 31, was killed by a single shot to the head. The shooter then left the Limones' body in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

According to officers, multiple witnesses heard gunshots in the area, but no one saw who fired the gun.

Police had no leads Friday morning, and said it wasn't clear why the man was killed.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
