Baseball statue stolen in Texas City

TEXAS CITY, Texas – Police are looking for a bronze statue that went missing in Texas City.

Officials say the statue of a boy swinging a baseball bat vanished from Godard Park on April 10.

The statue looks fairly small, but it weighs about 200 pounds.

Investigators say the crooks left a yellow rope and tire marks at the scene.

A cash reward is being offered as police look for the persons responsible for the theft of city property.
