Police say the men began casing the area looking for items to steal. One of them broke into a parked Chevrolet Tahoe and stole a purse while the owner was inside the store.

Authorities say the woman heard her vehicle's alarm going off, went outside the store and saw that her car had been burglarized.

Police say that's when the victim left the scene and the men ran her vehicle off the road, making the case an aggravated robbery. Investigators say that the men may have thought the victim was following their car.

The victim has been hospitalized and is still recovering.
