HOUSTON - Two METRO police motorcycle officers were taken to the hospital Friday morning after running into each other while escorting two semi trucks.
Officials said it happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday on the inbound Southwest Freeway feeder road near Beltway 8 in southwest Houston.
According to investigators, several METRO police motorcycle officers were escorting two wide load 18-wheelers, when two of them collided as they approached the intersection they were about to off.
Police said both officers were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with minor injuries.
The crash shut down the feeder road for about one hour.
