HOUSTON – Centerpoint is working to restore power after an early morning crash.
Deputies said a suspected drunken driver lost control and hit a utility pole on N. Gessner and Heron Lakes Drive around 2 a.m. Friday.

The driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The crash knocked out power to nearly a thousand people in the area.
Workers said it could be several hours before power is restored.
