Lanes of I-45 in north Houston reopen after crash

Traffic backed up for miles

HOUSTON – Several lanes of a freeway in north Houston were blocked Wednesday afternoon because of a crash.

The three-vehicle crash happened about 2 p.m. on northbound Interstate 45, just before the Hardy Toll Road.

According to Houston Transtar, the right shoulder, right lane and center lane of northbound I-45 were blocked in the area.

Click2Houston.com real-time traffic maps showed that northbound traffic was backed up to near Cypress Creek. Southbound traffic was backed up to Rayford Road.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the crash.

The crash was cleared from the area just after 5 p.m.
