HOUSTON – It’s the Facebook video that is causing outrage, showing a woman who works for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department angrily ripping the temporary license plate off of a young Rosenberg couple’s car.
“I thought she looked psycho, she was really angry ... her face was all red,” says Angel Barcenas.
It started Wednesday afternoon around 12:45 on Briarmead Drive in Richmond.
Barcenas and his former girlfriend, Chrysamber Davidson, had gone to pick up two of their three sons at a relative’s house, when all of a sudden they saw a middle-aged woman with some kind of a badge on storm up to their car.
They say she then tapped on the driver-side door and then opened that door to give Barcenas a piece of her mind.
“She was all yelling at me saying 'you idiot, you are driving like an idiot’, and I was like… what?” Angel said.
Chrysamber says after screaming at Barcenas, the woman then walked to the back of the 2000 Chevy Malibu and ripped the temporary license plate off of the car, telling them it was expired and illegal.
The plate is not expired and will not expire until July 4.
Chrysamber says one of her sons was in the backseat at the time and she was terrified both for him and his dad.
“I was thinking ... is she going to shoot him, is there going to be a gun battle or something like that?” Chysamber said shaking her head.
Now, Channel 2 Investigates has confirmed that the woman involved in this incident is an employee of the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, but her name and position within the department are not being released.
Channel 2 News has pressed the Sheriff’s Office for a statement on all of this, but all sheriff’s officials will say is that this incident is under investigation.
Both Barcenas and Chrysamber have yet to file an official complaint.
