A Houston couple has been arrested, accused of robbing a man at knife point.
Mary Jane Bernal and Tony Nicholas are both charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
According to court documents, on August 8 at around 1:30 a.m., the victim was flagged down by Bernal and asked for a ride to the other side of the Gulf Freeway near Beatty Street.
After she got into the car, police said Bernal pulled a knife and pushed the victim against his door.
She then grabbed the keys out of the ignition and jumped out of the car, police said.
The second suspect, Tony Nicholas then got into the car, pulled a knife and robbed the victim of his cell phone and wallet, police said.
The two then fled the scene.
Bernal is being held on a $40,000 bond and Nichols is being held on no bond
