Counselors on hand at Ft. Bend ISD high schools after students' sudden death

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Counselors and crisis teams were at all Fort Bend Independent School District high schools Tuesday morning to help students deal with the sudden loss of classmate Bryan Yeun.

Students honored the swimmer's sudden passing by hanging a sign at Clements High School that read: "Volleyball honors Brian."

Yeun died suddenly Saturday after a swim meet in Sugar Land. He was said to be universally loved at Clements High. Yuen was a star on the swim team. He was less than a year from graduating high school.

Following the school swim meet, Yuen suffered some kind of traumatic physical event. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

His friends and family held a vigil Sunday, and they said they will never forget him.

"If you talked to him he'd just be smiling and he would laugh," Soham Dhar said.

"He's this kind, charismatic, always involved, student council," Aly Bobo said.

Jefferson Ren said, "Clearly with all the support you see tonight, he's clearly affected a lot of people in the course of his life."
