Corpse rolls out of coroner's van on busy road

BUCK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA – A Pennsylvania coroner's office blames a door malfunction for an unusual road block on a busy street –a gurney carrying a corpse.

Drivers in Bucks County had to dodge the gurney Friday afternoon. According to the Bucks County Coroner's Office, the door of one of its vans swung open and the gurney rolled out.

The driver immediately realized what happened and circled back to the scene. The coroner's office has apologized and said it's taking steps to stop anything like this from ever happening again.

Before the driver returned, Bucks County resident Jerry Bradley drove by and snapped a picture.  He posted it on his Facebook page.
