Consumer recall: 22,000 blenders sold at big-box stores

WASHINGTON – Concerns over a broken blade has prompted the recall of more than 20,000 blenders.

Federal safety officials say the recall effects 22,000 Calphalon XL 9 speed blenders.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, part of the mixing blade can break off the blender while they're in use. 

The recalled blenders were sold nationwide at Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohl's, JCPenney, Macy's and other major retail stores nationwide and online from September 2012 through September of this year for about $130.
