Construction could cause weekend traffic trouble

HOUSTON – If you're planning to be out-and-about around Houston this weekend, there are some traffic trouble spots you'll want to avoid.

Ella will be closed northbound and southbound at the 610 North Loop from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. KPRC Local 2 reported on Friday that it was a Saturday closure, but the station was misinformed by Houston TranStar. Traffic will be detoured to TC Jester and Durham. Please be advised of heavy traffic congestion in the area during the weekend.

There will also be roadwork on the Eastex Freeway. This construction affects alternating southbound lanes from Northpark to F.M. 1960 continuously from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
