CONROE -

Police said a Conroe teen was shot to death over a cell phone.

It happened Tuesday night at Martin Luther King Junior Park in Conroe.

Officials said 19-year-old Geovany Ponce-Reyes was sitting inside his vehicle when he got into a physical struggle with another teen that was outside of the car.

Police said that teen, later identified as 19-year-old Jerome Faggin, pulled a gun, shot Reyes and fled the scene.

Investigators identified Faggin as the suspect on Wednesday. According to Conroe police, the struggle was over a cell phone.

Faggin was arrested for murder and is being held at the Montgomery County Jail.
